Is Affiliate Marketing Right For Me?

Affiliate Marketing isn?t for everyone. Despite what some ?guru?s? will tell you, it takes time and effort to develop the skills you need and the resources that you need. It isn?t going to generate big numbers right away so you?ll need to maintain your current job.

Because of all of that, Affiliate Marketing requires a certain mindset. You have to be patient and give it time to develop without jumping from strategy to strategy. I can tell you from experience, it?s harder than it sounds to keep from chasing new things when the one you are pursuing doesn?t work.

It is like my mentor tells us. If you are on day 65 of your plan and you change to a new plan, you are suddenly on day 0 of whatever new thing you?ve started. If you change strategies or products every 60 days you?ll never make it to the day x (we don?t know how long) it will take to succeed.

I would recommend that anyone interested in Affiliate Marketing pick up Dean Holland?s book, The Iceberg Effect. Dean is a veteran Affiliate Marketer who has made millions doing it. He has not one, but two funnels worth multiple millions.

25 years ago, I saw the internet for what it could be. It was still in its public infancy, but it was clear to me that it was going to change everything. I had intended to major in Computer Science, but changed to E-Commerce because I wanted to focus on the future.

Dean?s book reads a lot to me like some of the course books for the Internet Marketing courses we had to take as part of our studies. It?s free, but there is a shipping and handling charge (7.96). It can also be obtained from Amazon for 19.99.

It will help you decide if Affiliate Marketing is worth your time and effort, because let?s be real, time is the one currency that you can?t make more of.
