Help! I need 500 dollars extra this month!

I see this or some variation of it fairly frequently. People get themselves backed into a corner and need a quick way out. It?s a tough position to be in, and I?ve been there. 

How you make this happen depends on a few things. The first is your knowledge and skills. If you have specialized skills it is much easier to make this happen quickly. The second thing is it depends largely on what you are willing to do, and what resources you have access to. 

• Donate Plasma - There are plasma donation centers all over the US, and I have seen them advertising earnings of over 800 the first month. It isn?t something that everyone can do, and I would recommend looking up the requirements before going to the center. Some medications, medical history, and even travel history can prevent you from being able to donate.

• Mowing Lawns - Go back to your days as a teenager, grab a mower, and see if you can find lawns that need attention and a homeowner willing to pay. Jump on your local FB groups and Neighborhood app and let your neighbors know that you are doing lawns. 

• Babysitting - Again, think of your teenage years and consider how you made extra cash. I would recommend getting certified in CPR and having a background check on file with care.com or some other organization. 

• House Cleaning - It took less than a couple of months for my wife to build her cleaning business when we needed the extra income. She averaged around 30/hr. It wouldn?t take long to generate an extra 500 a month. 

• Photography - If you have an eye for photography, it wouldn?t be too hard to get a handful of clients if you only charged them a small fee. I have done what I call ?Cattle Car Photography? before where you pick a location and line up 10-15 clients back to back in rapid fire sessions. No outfit changes. Minor edits. Cheap rates. It helps families who can?t afford to have professional pictures taken of their family get decent family photos, and helps you.

 

• Pet Services - Cleaning up dog poop isn?t glamorous, but if you can get 10 customers a week at 15.00/wk it won?t take much effort to fill the need, and yes people will pay that to have their dog poop cleaned up every week. I recommend a pooper scooper that can use Walmart bags. . You can also walk dogs for 10-15 per dog per walk. 

There are plenty more, but ask yourself this. ?What problem can I solve with my knowledge, skills, and resources?? If you can spot a problem in your community that you can solve, that?s your best way to earn an extra 500 this month.
